Yan Ho: Pimples are infections, usually caused by some type of bacteria.
They reproduce, make waste products and die so that they make a small mound
in the epidermis of the skin. If the pus ( a combination of dead bacteria
and white blood cells that are "fighting" the bacteria ) shows through the
skin, then we call it a "white head". If dirt is accumulated in the pimple
area, we call it a "black head". I hope this answer helps. J. Bridger
