Re: Why should we explore space?

Thanks for the question! For an answer the best I can find is expressed in the Founding Declaration of the Mars Society. The subject is the exploration of Mars but I think that the text is easily generalized to other aspects of space exploration.

My opinion is that space exploration is crucial to the development of the human species. Exploring space is a worthy goal that will provide a needed focus at all levels from the global to the personal.
