My co-worker has set up a demo for children where he uses a propane bottle, insulated lunch box, propane burner and water. The propane bottle and water are placed inside the insulated lunch box w/ a hose fed through a hole in the box to the burner. This demonstration is to show how water can be boiled on one end of this unit and cooled on the other. I agree until he says that if he was to pull a vacuum (low pressure)on the box that the water would freeze at a warmer temperature. Is he correct?
Re: Will H2O freeze at a warmer temperature if it is in a vacuum (low press.)?
