Hi Andrea,
Enamel on the teeth cannot be replace at any cost. only dentine can be 
replaced cause it can be regenerated .... enamel can be replaced by some 
restorations but its not exactly the replacment of enamel. 
brushing your teeth will protect you from caries, and offcource good oral 
hygyiene is necessary for everyone.
