I am doing an experiment where I get people to record a message on audio tape. I then replay it to them with other people's messages as well. I find that most people do not recognize their voice and if they do they think their voice is distorted. Why is this, and is it prominent to one sex or does that not matter? A quick reply would be appreciated as I am entering a science fair soon. Thank-you.
