The easiest way to make oxygen and hydrogen is to use electrolysis.  Using 
an apparatus like shown at the webpage -
 http://www.chem.uiuc.edu/demos/elec.html

If you will read through the webpage I've directed you to I believe you 
will find all the info you need to create you own supply of oxygen and 
hydrogen.  Oh, a key to purity of each gas is to use a DC (like a 6 volt 
lantern battery) current so  that oxygen will be at one electrode and 
hydrogen will be at the other.  Good Science!
