I did an experiment where I liquidised 100g of liver, muscle, kidney and heart
and mixed each of them with 1 litre of distilled water. Then I added hydrogen
peroxide and measured the amount of oxygen produced. I found that the most
oxygen was produced from the liver mixture but large amount was produced from
the kidney. I have been searching on the internet for hours to find out why
there is so much catalase in the kidney but it only tells me about the liver. I
have already read the question about catalase posted by Kumar Chandraskharan on
Mon Sep 28 23:13:55 1998 but it doesn't answer my question about the amount of
catalase in the kidney. I would really appreciate it so much if you would be
able to answer my question because I really can't find the answer anywhere.
Thankyou
