By "clone" I assume you mean clone human beings. It is always very dangerous to make predictions, but I don't htink that there is likely to be a gene crisis. First, human cloning is unlikely to begin for sometime because it is still very, very difficult to clone animals. It would be criminal to clone human beings at the moment. Second, once cloning does begin, it will be available to very few people because it will be so expensive. This is still true for in vitro fertilization. Third, even if it does become relatively common, it will still account for a minute fraction of the human beings born each year by conventional and more enjoyable means. The impact on the human gene pool will be negligible. A population geneticist could probably do the calculation of how many births would have to be by cloning to alter the gene pool - my guess that it won't happen.
