Subject: Can telescopes see leftover Apollo mission equipme

My lesson for the day for my physics students was to critique a Fox TV 
show on an Apollo moon landings hoax "conspiracy".  At the end of the 
show the main advocate of the conspiracy theory says that he would be 
disproved if we simply looked at the moon with a powerful telescope to 
image the leftover Apollo missions equipment.  Can any of our telescopes 
do the job?
