You have to complete UG course preferrably in any branches of life sciences (Biology, zoology, botany, biochemistry, microbiology etc) or chemistry. The National Biotechnology Board conducts an entrance test (at National level) for admission to M.Sc course in Biotechnolgy which is offered by about 15 different institutions (Madurai Kamaraj Univ., Univ of Pune, JNU, etc). The advertisement for this would appear in New Indian Express, The Hindu and Employment News. But I don't know whether a commerce student is eligible for admission to UG level courses in life sciences/chemistry.
