What you are describing as nausea can be one of the following things:
1. it is sheer exhaustion after doing heavy exercise.
2. may be you are lifting too heavy load for the moment leading to uneasy feeling.
3. there could be another underlying cause which might get exacerbated at time of weightlifting as weightlifting is physically challenging act.

I would like to suggest following observation you can do may throw more light on the cause.
1. you said that you sometimes experince the nausea not at all the time so can you make out any difference in amount of weight you are lifting, the time of day you are lifting, have you eaten within one hour prior to lifting weight, whether you feel nausea at begining of the exercise or at the end?, what exacerbates it and what relieves it, does modification of posture help, do you feel nausea only while weightlifting or at other moments as well, if other instances beside weightlifting causes you the nausea what is common between weightlifting and the other occasion when you had nausea? so all this observation will help you make your decision. you can consult afterwards also to help you deduce the cause from a physician. I haven't heard of any common condition which lead to weightlifters to experince nausea after wieghtlifting. regards neeraj
