Subject: What information can you give me about ocean plants used for medicine?

 Hello, my name is Stacie Atkinson. I am currently performing research on ocean 
life and plants being used for medicine and cosmetics. I understand that there 
are different kinds of plants that are used to help cure cancer and that there 
are different kinds of ocean life that do the same exact thing.  However, I am 
still not clear on the issue of which plants and animals are used and which ones 
are the better ones to use. How can we with the cure of cancer and help people? 
Who should bear the cost of this and who should be the ones paying for it?  In 
addition, are you aware of any web sites that would be helpful in my search for 
answers? Any assistance you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank
