Hi Jon:

Thank you for submitting a question to the MadSci Network!  I have found a few 
links that will tell you all about sawfishes.

The first one: Sawfishes is a fairly comprehensive resource, with even some evolutionary information. The second one, Mote Marine Laboratory talks about sawfish conservation and the status of sawfish populations in the wild. And finally, here is one about < a href="http:/ /home.mira.net/~areadman/sawfish.htm"> Australian sawfish .

Basically, the sawfish uses its snout to locate and dig out prey from the ocean bottom, but I hope you check out the above web sites to learn more about these interesting fish!
