The majority of 60Hz appliances will work fine on 50Hz. The main 
exceptions are those which incorporate certain types of motor, which may 
run at a lower speed, although this will often not be a major problem. 
Mains-operated clocks (mechanical or digital) usually use the mains 
frequency for timing, and so will run very slow. Products incorporating 
timers may also be affected.
