The majority of 60Hz appliances will work fine on 50Hz. The main exceptions are those which incorporate certain types of motor, which may run at a lower speed, although this will often not be a major problem. Mains-operated clocks (mechanical or digital) usually use the mains frequency for timing, and so will run very slow. Products incorporating timers may also be affected.
