You are absolutely correct! The definition of pressure is - Force per unit area. ( http://www.iversonsoftware.com/geology/geology-p.html ) Ideally, a deep, aerially restricted lake would have more pressure exerted on the bed because it has less surface area and thus a higher degree of force acting upon it by the body of water.
