Gold colored foil was used on the lunar module, rover and on some of the 
equipment attached to the space suits for the moon landings. Is this really 
gold. If so, why was gold used. I say a lunar rover at the Smithsonian and it 
appeared to be gold. I am just asking out of curiosity. Thank you.
