We counted 150+ bats living in shingles of our lake home. House was bat proofed by experts on Friday (6/24/01) - closed up all opening buts left a tunnel system for bats to get out but not back in. Every evening since, notice bats swarming around orignal entrance at time when they usually are leaving the nest (9 p.m). 9 dead bats (2 babies, 7 adults) found on deck (4 days from when first bat proofed). Should they be tested for rabies or does this happen when their nesting place is taken away? How long will it take for bats to stop trying to get back in?
Re: After bat proof home- no re-entry possible, 9 dead bats found - rabies?
