I have read that a black hole does not act like a vaccuum but rather has things orbitting it. When these objects inertia become considerably less than the gravity of the black hole they eventually get close enough to be pulled into the event horizon. My question is, what is the force of gravity outside the event horizon? Any information would be helpful, thank you for your time.
