Can members of the crocodile group-such as gavials, alligators, crocs, and caimans interbreed and produce viable offspring, or offspring at all. Would it be possible to artificially produce an offspring in a lab setting between two of these members-such as an alligator and a croc. I do know that some hybrids have been formed in a lab-even though the offspring may be sterile--things like a tiglon(tiger and lion), etc.
