I wan't to know who was the first to try and measure or calculate the weight of
the Earth. Some say that in ancient Greece they tried to calculate the weight.
Does anyone know how they tried to do that? It's obvious that it really began
with Newton but someone must have tried it earlier on. Thanks for your help in
advance.
