Hi I really hope you can answer my question. My uncle, his wife and 3 children have radiation poisoning. My uncle used to work for the power company, fixing electricity poles, in Puerto Rico, and he was contaminated about 20 years ago, but he just found out his wife of about 13 years and his 3 step children, ages 13-18, all have been contaminated (he used to bring his dirty uniform home for washing, and he didn't wear globes). They will be coming to New York City for treatment and will be living with me for a while until they find an apartment. I would like to know if I or my 2 cats can get contaminated by touching them or being in close proximity to them for long periods of time, or by sharing towels, bed sheets, eating utensils, ecetera. Can anyone, human or animal, get contaminated by living with people that are sick with radiation poisoning? I really, really hope you can help answer this question. Thank you for any help you can provide. Sonia Sonia1027@aol.com
