Dear sir
I have observed that a lead projectile, with the weight of 140 grains traveling at 4000 FPS. hitting a steel plate will create a cavity .750 thousands deep and .625 thousands wide. the metal expelled will travel 100 meters with a flat tragectory. These particles are approx. .003 dia. they have enough force to etch glass, and put holes in paper, How can their velocity be so great? What could be their velocity. No one believes this can happen.
Thanks Scott Marshall
