to whom it may concern,
i am having great difficulty in inderstanding several things concerning
these round and wrinkled seeds. my class performed 3 experiments on
zea mais (corn) and pisam sativam (peas): Testing the water absorbing
capacity of round and wrinkled seeds; observing the diff. in the starch
grains taken from round and wrinkled seeds; and testing the sugar
content of the seeds.
although my results are complete, i do not know how to analyze them
efficiently...
i found that wrinkled seeds retained more water than smooth seeds... due
to surface area, perhaps?... but, what else?
i found that the smooth seed's starch grains were more dispersed and
more equal size-wise, and that the wrinkled seed's starch grains were
more clumped together, and varied in greatly in size... what does this
show?!
for the glucose test, both the smooth and wrinkled tested negative... what
does it mean when a seed doesn't contain sugar?...

i hope that you can help... i really want to understand this! not being able
to understand something that, most probably, has a really simple thing
behind it, is starting to drive me crazy!

i tried looking for related subject matters in your site, which seems to have
everything on everything else, but, was not too successful...

thanks again!
