Subject: how can i prove the environmental effects on the cell membrane?

i would like to know how to prove the environmental effects on the cell 
membrane using a lab to do it. i do not fully understand how it works and 
cannot come up with my own lab to do so. i have been searching for the past two 
weeks on the internet and this is my last resort. however, i have not found 
this site until today and my project is due in a day. so if u do not reply
