Hi Tonya,

Thanks for your question. I think that you have been asked a really stupid question here! It seems to me that whoever asked the question is looking for a specific answer, but they've written the question in such a way that there could be several answers. Obviously they just want you to reproduce an answer that you have been given on a course and this is not learning!

Now I've said that, I think the word that you are looking for might be "physical". Take a look at this web page, scroll down and find the section named "properties of materials". Here, you will see that matter can be defined by chemical properties (how different types of matter react with one another) or by physical properties. So you might say that each of the states of matter (solid, liquid or gas) is a physical property. But don't take my word that this is the right answer-look in your textbook and course material and you may find the word that your unimaginative questioner wants you to write!
