Ali,

That is a very good question. Not only is the analytical process
interesting to measure the lead content in hair coloring products (e.g.
Grecian Formula 16), but how the lead acetate changes the color of hair.

I found several very helpful web sites that answer both of these
questnions.

1. How it works
 http://www.folica.com
/haircolor/gf16_cream.htm

2. How to chemically determine the lead content in Grecian Formula 16
 http://chem.lapeer.or
g/Chem1Docs/LeadAnal.html

This should be a very interesting investigation. Good luck.
