MadSci Network: Genetics |
Let me clarify my question by using a bit more detail. What I am wondering is if the restriction enzymes used in DNA fingerprinting are specially chosen so as to cleave the chromosome with repsect to the different alleles that it contains? I am a student teacher, who is teaching genetics to my high school students and I am trying to piece together what I know about genetics into a coherent whole with regards to DNA extraction and how this relates with respect to chromosomes, as well as to DNA fingerprinting.
Re: How does DNA fingerprinting work with respect to separating the alleles?
