I did a chromatography of geranium leaves with acetone and petroleum ether (1:9) solvent. I ended up with about 7 bands of colour visible under white light and two that were only visible under UV light. How do you determine what the names of the different pigments are? I've tried calculating the Rf values, but they just don't seem to match up with any values I've found over the internet! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
