I am doing a science project growing crystals. I want to find out the
similarities between artifically created crystals and those occurring naturally
in nature. I will grow artifical crystals, (evaporation method), using table
salt, iodized salt, kosher salt and sodium-alum and I want to compare those
crystals to Halite. I will grow Magnesium Sulfate and want to compare those
crystals to gypsum. If I use a part of the solution that I'm growing my
crystals in and examine them under the microscope, how can I examine the Halite
and Magnesium Sulfate crystals structurally and chart data? I really would
appreciate any advice you can give me. Sincerely Christina
