Subject: I would like to know how a mushroom develops from fungis?

I understand that when a fungis needs to spread it's spores, it will grow a 
mushroom to carry the spores out of the soil.  What I am asking is how does 
this fungis go about growing a mushroom.  Meaning, does it have anything to do 
with the calvin ccle or photosynthesis? Thank You, I really appreciate it.
