Subject: Does playing videogames effect the colors of a television ?

Just recently the colors in my television were all messed up . Parts of it was 
green , parts of it was purple and parts of it was red . My mother said that it 
was because of me playing too many videogames , but I didn't play games that 
often . I didn't belive her so I did some research but I could not find 
anything that is useful to me . I 'm hoping that you can answer this question , 
does playing videogames really affect the tV / the colors of my telvision or is 
something else .
