The largest animal now inhabiting the earth is the Blue Whale.

Blue whales grow to be about 80 feet (25 meters) long  - over 10 times 
longer than Shaquille Oneal.  They weigh about 120 tons - or more than 
the combined weight of 700 pro football players.
