Water temperature has no effect on your teeth - you can either use cold ot hot 
water ... but using very hot water may damage the oral mucosa ... 
thats why it is not adviced to use hot water.

Moderator's note:  teeth cleaning is achieved mostly by mechanical brushing and 
to some extent by the cleaning media (tooth paste), so water is just a solvent 
in this process. Water can help to remove the debris mechanically if it's 
applied with pressure or vibration, but it doesn't "clean" by itself.
