Hello Jean,
In answer to your question I have had agates that have 'faded' over the 
years especially those exposed to bright sunlight. There have been other 
memebers in the Club that this has occurred to also.
However I've never heard of jade fading or bleaching but believe that it 
may occur.
I have passed your question round some of the more knowledgeable members 
and if any definitive responce is forthcoming I'll post it on to you.
I hope what little information I have replied with so far goes someway to 
answering your question.
