Genetic counselors are generally found in hospitals or medical clinics. 
They are called counselors because it is usually their job to explain 
things regarding genetics to patients, whether it be explaining a 
defect/disorder or a possible genetic procedure ( also about genetic tests 
for diseases ). They will talk with the patients and answer any questions 
they might have. Some also perform the procedures, actually a lot of them 
do. They are like genetic doctor and counselor rolled in to one .
