What is known as 'magnetic energy' is stored in any spatial location
where a magnetic field exists. Therefore, a very naive and straighforward
answer to your question is that a beam of light (like a laser beam) is a
way of storing and focusing magnetic energy (and electric energy as well).
This is so, since light is a combination of electric and magnetic fields
that travels across space. Since the two always travel coupled, this type
of energy is called 'electromagnetic'.

I hope this answers your question,
