actly what kind of speed you are asking for. I found the 
average for 50 meters and 1000 meters (actually, I found the times and 
converted to mph).

The average 18 year old man can run 50 meters (about 160 ft) at an average 
speed of about 15 mph. 

The average 18 year old man ccan run 1000 meters (3280 ft)at an average 
speed of about 9 1/2 mph.

To convert to km per hour, multiply mph by 1.6.
