Hi Frank,
     I am not exactly sure what your question is.  Perhaps it got 
scrambled by the computer.  The question involved the differences between 
a magnetized rod and a sphere.  The short answer is that the magnetic 
charge of the rod is concentrated at the ends of the rod while that of the 
sphere is distributed over the top and bottom of the sphere.
