According to the articles I've read, a planet's tides are affected by the
proximity of its moon. However, I've found little to help my research on how a
planet similar to Earth in size and gravitational pull would be affected if it
had one moon like ours plus a broken moon, farther away, in our orbit such as
in H.G.Wells "The Time Machine" And, is it right to assume that a moon while
the same size as the first moon but farther away, would have little affect on a
planet's tides? (that'd make two whole moons and one broken)
