The data from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe shows that the universe will expand forever. In "A Brief History of Time - Updated Edition" Stephen Hawking said, "If one believes that the universe will expand and then contract again, as the no boundary proposal seems to imply, this becomes a question of why we should be in the expanding phase rather than the contracting phase." (p. 155).
Re: Does the data from the WMAP disprove Hawking's 'no boundary' theory?
