Subject: What are the eating habits of ants?

Im wondering what kinds of foods ants prefer to eat, and the general habits 
that they will use to go about getting food.  Also, whether when they have 
found another dead bug and decide to eat it do they it on the spot or take it 
back to the ant nest?  Also if it is taken back to the ant nest than do they 
chew it up and take it back or carry the whole bug back?  And finally, do ants 
have a general amount of time in which it takes them to eat foods (other 
bugs)?  This is information that i need to help me gain a hypothesis for a 
science fair expirement.  Thanks for anything you can do!
