MadSci Network: Genetics |
It has been much mentioned by various instances that when the science of genetic engineering reaches a certain point, intelligence and various other aspects I would caracterize as a part of a persons "personality" will be tinkerable. Since intelligence seems to me to be quite an abstract concept, I wonder if a strong sense of justice or perhaps a disinclination to materialism would be possible to create in a human through engineering? Is there any good literature you can refer me to about what is believed to be a result of genetics or society when it comes to personality traits?
