Emails are stored on servers at your ISP (Internet server provider). When
you login and use your email program, such as Outlook Express or Eudora,
the messages are downloaded to your local PC and deleted from the server
(in most cases).

If you use a browser based email system, such as Yahoo! mail, then the
mail is always stored on Yahoo!s mail servers. You are viewed, reading,
and replying to email on their servers.

Thanks,
