No, you should not avoid red foods.  Food color is not related to iodine 
content.

First, you should only be on a reduced or iodine free diet at the 
recommendation of your doctor.  Your doctor should have provided a list of 
foods to avoid.

The greatest source of iodine in our diet is iodized salt.  Other sources 
include seafood, bread, and dairy products.

Good luck, but be careful.  Iodine is a required trace nutrient.  People 
who don't get enough iodine in their diet develop a condition known as 
goiter.
