Hello there! That was a good question you have asked. No direct researches have been done on your topic but we can derive the result from various other researches. When hair is rinsed with hot water to remove grease or other sticky particles, the excess temperature may cause the reverse effect. It may cause the sebaceous glands to produce more oil and the hair will appear more oily. Coming to your question, hot water is not capable enough to destroy your hair follicles. In many treatments, where hair follicles has to be removed, laser treatment is used. The falling of hair depends upon melanin which is found in melanocyte cells in the basal region of the epidermis. Hence it is impossible for your hair to fall with 130 degree C of hot water. With best wishes, Abhishek Dey Das. KV (AFS), Barrackpore.
