In the movie, "Kiss of the Dragon", Jet Li does some smooth tricks with what
appear to be acupuncture needles. Sure, i'd like to know if it's physically
possible to make the blood rush to one's head by inserting a needle into
some "forbidden" spot but more basically---what is the extent of the proven
physical powers of acupuncture? Can a skilled practioner 'anesthetize' his
patient? What, is any is the basis for the reaction of one's body to the
acupuncturist's needles?
