With the first confirmed case of "Mad Cow Disease" in the United States, I
wanted to know whether prions affected tissue other than nervous tissue.  I know
that prions can cause Creutzfeld-Jacob Syndrome in humans and BSE in cows.  Can
prions cause other non-nervous tissue diseases in humans?
