I have read that three-toed sloths can turn their heads 270 degrees because they
have extra vertebrae. Does that mean that it can turn its head 135 degrees in
both directions from facing forward (a little less than looking straight
backwards) or 270 degrees in each direction (so it can look straight backwards
and then a little bit more)?
