I have read one of your pages which talks about the different saccharides and 
metabolism of them.  The breakdown of Sucrose gives fructose and glucose.  As 
stated on this page, fructose is already part way through glycolysis. Does the 
initial breakdown of the sucrose take up the same amount of time that is saved 
by producing fructose?  Which is quicker - sucrose metabolism or glucose 
metabolism? Specifically saccharomyces cerevisiae if poss. Thankyou very much.
