Subject: geology question - what is this rock i have

oh great ones, i have a rock. i must know what it is. It is rough, all black 
with pot-holes filled with a shiny gold. to see if the gold color was only on 
the pot-holes on the outside, we cracked a part off of it and there were gold 
colored holes all through it. found in saint john, new brunswick, canada.
